teacher and teacher assistant gifts

Gifts for the boys teachers....
all stamps, inks and papers are Close To My Heart. They were stamped in black and I used a blending pen and watercolors.
the boys picked the stamp that they thought looked most like their teacher assistants and they picked the colors for their hair and clothes.

How I spent my Friday night...

I took these pictures in the chickweed and wild violets out in the yard. Everything is CTMH except the prima flowers.
first trip bowling- I have to journal these. We had a huge ice storm in our area of SW Kentucky in Feb. so I took some pictures around the yard. They say the damages from this storm are more dollar wise than all the damage from hurricaine Katrina- that is hard to imagine. We were lucky and didn't lose power but just for a few minutes. Some people were weeks and weeks without power in freezing temperatures. The "Ice Storm" letters are chipboard letters that were supposed to be for a wedding album but I liked how they look like ice so I used them for this instead. I'm going to get some storm facts and put them on the journaling block. Papers, stamps, etc. are CTMH.
March pages- I'm going to add the story of the boys waking up before me and making their own bakery in the kitchen using plastic bowls, a few pans and a bag of sugar. I have another picture to print and add too. All CTMH on this layout.
I was up until 5 am this morning printing pictures for these layouts I worked on tonight and I finally went to bed when I ran out of paper so I still have a few pictures to add here and there and some journaling to do now that I'm home.
5th Birthday pages. I have to add another picture and some journaling and a Mario invitation to these pages.

I'm going to put a big number 5 on the celebrate circle.
Easter Sunday pictures- need to journal and these are done. Everything is CTMH except the prima flowers and jeweled brads.
Bundle up pages- I need to journal and add a few more pictures. Everything is CTMH.
Feb. pages. these are finished, all pictures, journaling, rub ons. everything. Everything is Close to my Heart except the rub ons.
Karen, Pokey, Ashley an I scrapped at Pokey's church tonight after they got off work. We met up at 5 and spent an hour unpacking and talking, another hour eating and talking, then we finally got some things done. We left about 12:30 and I'm seriously overdue for some rest after a busy day with the boys. *** It's always fun to scrap and visit with good friends!!***

more pages....

Fall leaves pages. These have embossed leaves, prima flowers, and a woven ribbon edge. Papers, inks, ribbon, clip and stamps are CTMH.
March pages. Papers, ink, ribbon, stamps, brads are CTMH.
the pink April pages above came from a swap. they are CTMH too- Daydream paper line.
I made these pages using the new CTMH creative basics Emporium line. I love these textured prima flowers. Inks, cardstock, ribbon and stamps are CTMH.
My good scrapping buddy Pokey (aka: Angela Orr) made these cute pages. I am looking forward to putting some pictures on them! She used CTMH Notebook papers and CTMH embellishments, inks and stamps.

What I've been up to lately.....

My Grandparents 50th Anniversary announcement and pictures from over the years.
Front and back pages for my heritage album. I've got to ink the edges in gold and the opening page will be finished. Closing page is all done....

some old pictures of my Dad...
My boys with Santa 2008.
I love Bling! The words are printed on a clear transparency and attached with brads.
Some old pictures of my parents fishing back in the day. I've got to get the one of my Mom printed larger to finish up the layout.
Close to My Heart class that I taught in Feb.
Christmas pages designed by my friend Elaine...
Ok, these are blurry but I didn't want to upset anyone with the bare boy bottoms on the page! LOL!
sorry for the glare... picture from our trip to Bowling Green and Cave City Kentucky
Close To My Heart class I taught in March...
I ran out of pictures- seriously! A problem I never thought I would have. Well I have heritage stuff but nothing current printed of the boys so I'm making blank pages to get ready and to use up some papers from my stash. When I get a chance to sit down and sort through my pictures and print them I'll be ready! I take way too many pictures or I wouldn't be having this problem! LOL! check out my family blog if you want to see current pics- link is on the side of the page.
Close to My Heart Rough and Tumble papers...
SU pages designed by my friend Elaine...
I may add more buttons or ribbon once I get pictures for the pages, a title, whatever they need, but since I do three books it will be nice to sit down with sets of 3 premade sets of pages and figure out which pictures work on which layouts. I'm thinking of waiting about printing pictures since I'm working through some of my stash doing this!
Ten Things layout designed by my friend Elaine...
I bought these papers when they first came out and I've been "saving" them. I'm looking forward to getting some pictures on these pages!
I love these pages- these papers are the ones where they have strips that you can cut apart. I used one sheet of the strip paper, one small rectangle of patterned paper and two sheets of cardstock along with the background cardstock and they were super easy to make. I had these papers in my stash for a while and wasn't sure what to do with them so I decided to take them out and cut them up and see what I could do with them. I plan on adding a few buttons and some ribbon and a title, but the tough part is done and I'm pleased with them. I'll be looking for more of these papers when I restock my stash (I know I haven't made a dent in it yet, but someday I'll need more stuff!)
I buy this stuff all the time and never use it so I finally did! Three sets of layouts ready for pictures. yay!
another set of papers I had no idea what to do with but I bought tons of it. I had fun playing with them once I got them out and started working with them.
another set of those neat papers that you buy to make strips. these have buttons, chipboard and ribbon already added...
I was playing with these pages for my heritage book or my growing up album and I think I'm going to redo a set with CTMH papers and do them for an upcoming class. I like that the right side page can be turned any direction to work with the pictures you have. It is simple but I was pleased with how it came out and I love the quote. CLICK ON ANY PICTURES TO ENLARGE THEM~
more papers I had been hoarding... love them! I have extra add on things to use when I finish them up...
I bought a HUGE amount of these papers when I got them and they have been in my stash for over a year. I got them out and threw together some pages using the CTMH book Imagine (it's my favorite). I think pictures will tone down these papers and they will look cute when they are finished. I have enough of these papers to make a stack of layouts- not sure why I liked it so much at the time I bought it!
January layouts...
February layouts... both sets, Jan. and Feb. are with CTMH papers and stamps.
