I think I'm going to give up scrapbooking swaps- element swaps and things like that. I'm actually getting things done while working on my CTMH page swaps. I go ahead and make an extra two sets while I'm working on my swap pages and I put pictures on them when I get them made. I usually find pictures I need to scrap and tailor my pages to the pictures so I can get them done. My element swaps are sitting in drawers and I very seldom use them and if I do it's only a piece or two since I try to fit so many pictures on my pages. I might use heritage themed things when I get around to printing and scrapping those pictures...
The last few Friday nights I've actually worked on pages instead of swaps and it feels good to make some progress. As far as my book and the boys books I'm really not that far behind, just maybe 4-5 months of last year to be done so that's a huge improvement. I'm planning to do a mini album for our trip to Grinch Ice and I want to do my old family pictures in an album, my high school stuff in a book and several projects like that and keep up with the mini albums I have for Halloween, Birthday and Christmas.
I'm thinking why keep making the elements stuff if I'm not actually using it like I should be!? It's fun to do things and see what everyone else makes but I'm not putting the stuff on pages so it is really just a time distraction from getting stuff done on my books.
Maybe I'll take my swap stuff when I go scrap that full day in March and see if I get stuff done using that and I might change my mind, but for right now I'm on a no swaps except CTMH page swaps- that's a huge declaration for me!!!! Figured I better type it up so I don't forget! ;) Marla
